You can make an appointment with your Audi service partner for installing the Audi DataPlug, or you can install it yourself as follows:
After downloading and installing the Audi connect plug and play app, you will be guided through the installation of the Audi DataPlug step by step after opening the app.
It is really easy: Go and sit in your Audi, open the app and have the Audi DataPlug, including the packaging, ready.
Open the app and enter the eight-digit PIN in the input screen of the app and confirm it. The PIN can be found either on the side of the Audi DataPlug or on the side of the packaging. Then plug the Audi DataPlug into the diagnostic interface (OBD2). In most Audi models, it is located in the driver side footwell.
Please confirm this step in your app. Then activate Bluetooth and GPS on your smartphone. Finally, switch on the ignition of your Audi. The Bluetooth connection between the smartphone and the Audi DataPlug is established as soon as you click on "Establish connection". Please note: The connection process can take up to two minutes.
